For the safety of all children and adults, the speed limit through ALL parts of the parking lot must be no faster than 30 Km/Hr

Along the entire front of the school, there are signs that say “No Unattended Vehicles”. This area is designated as a Fire Lane for Emergency Vehicles – please do not park and leave your vehicle in this area. At the start of the day and at the end of the day, it is fine to wait in your vehicle for your children, but if you have business in the school, please park in the parking lot and then come into the school.

In the mornings only, there is a marked area for school bus drop-off. It is marked by signs and pylons so it is easily recognizable. We ask for parents not to drive into this area to allow our four Hertz school buses ready and safe access to the area. Once all buses have arrived at the school, the pylons will be removed for additional parental drop-off.

The parking lot has cement parking indicators to create as many parking spots as we feel is safe in the area we have. If parents park in areas without these indicators, they often create unsafe parking situations that make it difficult for other vehicles to safely drive around or block traffic completely.

At the end of the day, we would ask parents to set a safe example for their children and not walk between the loading school buses. Take the time to walk to one end or the other of the buses to teach safe crossing to your children.
