Active parent participation is critical to the success of SCS for so many reasons - from fostering engagement to reducing operating expenses to providing a source of creativity based on giftings.  We are pleased to provide the Parent Partnership Program to help you satisfy your service commitment and provide you with opportunity to connect to areas of the school where you have a special interest.

This growing list of opportunities should assist each family as they seek to plan where they would like to serve.  Ultimately, we would like to indicate your area of interest and strength and help place you in the appropriate position.  Forms will be made available at the business office and will be coming soon to download and print.

• Golf Tournament
• Heritage Day
• Library Help
• Meet the Teacher
• Noon Hour Supervision
• Table Tennis Tournament Concession

You will be asked to indicate your first, second and third choice for parent partnerships and we will distribute the partnerships accordingly.  Where you will end up depends upon the preferences of parents and how many hours are required for each event/activity.  Most parents are asked to serve at 2 of the listed service opportunities.  There is a minimum requirement of approximately 10 hours of service.

Buyout:

We thank God for the diversity of our families and believe that building authentic relationships is the best way to ensure the success of our children's school. 

Although we hope that you will find a suitable fit within our service programs at SCS, if you are unable to commit to these service hours there is a purchase option available for $400 per parent for the 2011-2012 year.  If at the end of the year you have not fulfilled your hours of Parent Partnership, it will be understood that you would prefer to BUYOUT at $400/parent.
